Onlineprinters acquires postpress company
Catalogue production to be relocated
The online print company Onlineprinters has acquired "RIB Industrie-Buchbinderei", a postpress company located in Waldbüttelbrunn (Bavaria). "With this company acquisition, we are building on a partnership that has been flourishing for many years," says Roland Keppler, the CEO of the Onlineprinters Group, and he adds: "Quality and delivery reliability are our top priorities. So it is with great pleasure that we welcome more highly qualified employees to our company." He officially welcomed the 15 RIB employees to the group of companies at a staff meeting. The acquisition came as part of a retirement-related succession management program. Peter Hemberger is the site's new operative manager. He had previously run RIB together with two other co-founding partners who will retire on grounds of age.
Further processing of catalogue products
With the integration of RIB into the Onlineprinters Group, all catalogue products will be further processed at the new site. Moreover, it is planned to relocate the postpress operations for brochures with special requirements to the site in Waldbüttelbrunn in the medium term. These production-related changes will not affect jobs at the two German sites in Neustadt an der Aisch and Waldbüttelbrunn. The main production facility of Onlineprinters is located in Neustadt an der Aisch where five plants accommodate state-of-the-art offset and digital printing machinery as well as postpress equipment and large-format printing facilities. Thousands of parcels leave this site every day to be delivered to customers in 30 European countries. In addition to processing Onlineprinters jobs, RIB will continue to serve external customers, too.
